Oasis fans see Liam and Noel Gallagher pictured together ahead of comeback gigs

Oasis fans finally got to see stars Liam and Noel Gallagher pictured together – but they were left baffled first.

The brothers were seen momentarily during a special advert break on Channel 4 – as the pair looked moodily into the camera in an extended promo for Adidas clothing.

But some followers were feeling left out in the cold at first when they tuned for a special announcement at 9pm on Channel 4 only to see quiz show Taskmasters on instead. It was on during the first break that they got to see their heroes.

Taking to social media, the sports brand Adidas stirred excitement as they posted a teaser video featuring the Oasis logo and the sound of fan chants in the background. “Original Forever. All will be revealed. Channel 4 9pm,” they added in the caption. However, as thousands of fans turned to Channel 4, Taskmaster started, with no mention of an Oasis announcement.

Confused fans wrote on X: “Err… why am I watching Taskmaster.” Another added: “We’ve been scammed.” A third noted: “What’s gone wrong? Where is the release.” A fourth joked: “Taskmaster’s ratings will be through the roof!”

During the first advert break, a collaboration video made between Oasis and Adidas was shown. It combined concert footage as well as old clips of the brothers performing. At the end, to the sound track of their iconic song Live Forever, Liam and Noel reunited wearing Adidas jackets.

On Thursday evening, the band’s official page on X also dropped a bombshell with a link to a site detailing upcoming fan stores in Manchester, London, Birmingham, Cardiff, Dublin, and Edinburgh. The tweet teased fans with: “10am tomorrow – Spinningfields, Manchester.”

At the time of this article, only the Manchester link was live. The website invites fans to book a spot by selecting dates from the end of June through July and then picking a 30-minute window for their visit.

Beforehand, the Manchester band seemed to tease a new collaboration with the sportswear brand Adidas. Taking to their social media they shared a teaser video with the caption: “Original Forever. All will be revealed. Channel 4. 9PM (BST)”.

The clip, which shows old school footage and appears to tease Live ’25 merchandise, was shared alongside. The new merch range includes a white graphic long sleeve, as well as a classic Adidas jacket with Oasis embroidered on.

Entry to these fan merch shops require a ticket. Despite the excitement of new merch, some supporters were annoyed about the small selection of cities.

A disgruntled user demanded, “Do this in South America!” while another queried, “Will there be special pop up shops for North America, Asia and South America?”

One vexed fan questioned, “Do Oasis even know they have fans outside the UK? Like, in actual Europe?” and another accused, “yeah u hate europe tho.”

An Italian devotee couldn’t hide their frustration, exclaiming, “B**** I’m in Italy I CAN’T COME F*** OFFFFFF do one in Italy I’m begging”.

Oasis enthusiasts have been put on high alert for ticket fraudsters as they scramble to get last-minute passes for the much-anticipated reunion concerts.

Yet, despite the excitement, some supporters have reported being preyed upon by con artists while trying to secure tickets for the shows set to rock Manchester, London, Cardiff, and Edinburgh throughout July, August, and September.

One fan recounted her ordeal: “He said his only condition was that I sent him selfies from the gig, and he even sent me GIFs of the band with the catch line ‘All Your Dreams Are Made’. And I thought they were. I thought he can’t be. He was a lovely lad, I thought. We had calls and Facetimed, and he was so personable. I just feel so embarrassed and ashamed.”

Concertgoers are being advised to exercise caution when buying their tickets, steering clear of unverified sources and individual con artists on social media platforms, as not all ticket offers turn out to be legit.
