Chris Brown has pleaded not guilty after he was charged over an alleged bottle attack. The singer, who performed in Cardiff on Thursday night (June 19), went straight down to London to appear at Southwark Crown Court. He is then due to perform two dates at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on June 21 and 22.
The 36-year-old arrived at court in a dark blue suit, having to walk through a big group of photographers. He is accused of causing grievous bodily harm during an incident in which took place in February 2023.
The court date was for him and a co-defendant, Omololu Akinlolu, 38, to enter pleas and prepare for trial. Chris was granted conditional bail last month after having been held on remand, allowing him to continue his world tour.

As part of his bail conditions, he had to pay a whopping £5million security fee to the court to ensure he would return to court. The fee would be forfeited if his bail conditions were breached.
The incident over which he is charged allegedly happened at nightclub Tape in London’s Mayfair on February 19, 2023. Manchester Magistrates’ Court was told last month that accuser Abraham Diaw was at the bar of the venue when he claims he was hit a number of times with a bottle, before being followed to another area and being punched and kicked.
Go Crazy singer Chris was arrested on May 15 this year at Manchester’s Lowry Hotel in the early hours, not long after he arrived in the UK by private jet.

He was held in HMP Forest Bank in Salford, Greater Manchester until May 21.
The American star then referenced his brief time behind bars in an Instagram story promoting the tour, which was given the green light.
He said: “From the cage to the stage! Breezybowl.”
The tour kicked off its UK leg with two dates at Manchester’s Co-op Live on June 15 and 16. He then performed at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on June 19.
