First Dates has signed up two new stars to join Fred Sirieix at the iconic Channel 4 restaurant and they’ve already started filming for the next series of the hit show
First Dates has signed up two new stars.
Gerald Richards and Kyle Evans have been hired as waiters at the show’s restaurant in Bath. They’ve already started filming and they’re loving every second.
Gerald said: “I am very excited to join the First Dates team. “Everyone has been so welcoming and I really enjoy helping the daters to connect and hopefully find love at the restaurant.
“I have watched the show since I moved to the UK seven years ago. It’s an honour to now be part of the series.”
Kyle said: “Joining the First Dates team has been an absolute blast. It’s been incredibly intense and severely rewarding.
“The team are very supportive. A bit like a family.”
The pair will make their debut on the new series, which kicks off on July 4 at 10pm on Channel 4.
Regulars returning include waitress CiCi Coleman, bartender Merlin Griffiths and maitre d’ Fred Sirieix.
OFF THE TOP OF MY ED
‘I think The Traitors might be the best reality TV format of all time. Somehow, it never becomes boring.
‘I’ve watched 10 series – three from the UK, three from the US, two from Australia and two from New Zealand. And I’m still hungry for more. Each one feels fresh because the contestants are so different.
‘I’ve never binged so many series of the same show in such a short space of time. Most formats start to wane if you watch a lot of it.
‘Shows like The Masked Singer, Love Island and Bake Off lost their magic because they were on too much.
‘But The Traitors doesn’t have this problem.’
