Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are said to be planning ‘make-or-break talks’ in the coming weeks as they hope to get through a ‘rough patch’ amid ongoing split rumours
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are reportedly set for “make-or-break talks” in the near future, as they aim to navigate through a “rough patch” amidst persistent rumours of a split.
The pop sensation, aged 40, and her actor beau, 48, who sparked romance back in 2016, have been betrothed since Valentine’s Day 2019. However, earlier this month, whispers emerged that the duo, who share their four year old daughter Daisy, had called time on their five-year engagement.
Chatter has been rife with talk that their love boat is “on the rocks”. Katy added fuel to the fire when she was spotted sans her engagement sparkler, igniting talk of a break from Bloom.
Word on the street is that Katy and Orlando are planning a rendezvous next week once she jets back to the States from her Aussie Lifetimes tour stint. Despite the buzz, it’s understood they haven’t called it quits but have hit a “rough patch.”

The US Sun has it on good authority that Katy’s set to wing her way back to California to celebrate the July 4 holiday with Orlando and the fam. She’s got a breather in her tour schedule from July 1 to July 10 before she hits the stage again in North America, reports the Mirror.
An insider spilled the beans to the publication: “No one has decided it’s definitely the end of the road for Katy and Orlando. They both love each other, but they have been living different lives for at least a year and in different mindsets.”
The source added that Katy “especially” isn’t keen to “just give up”.
The insider revealed that the world tour and associated travel have been the “biggest disruption” to Katy’s life with Orlando, leading to a period where the couple felt “disconnected” and were “living separate lives” due to their demanding careers.
It’s rumoured they’re planning a “reunion” over the forthcoming holiday weekend. Katy is said to be considering a trip back to the US to spend quality time with her beau Orlando, their daughter Daisy, and other family members.
The source disclosed that for months, Katy and Orlando have “barely” managed to spend a “decent amount of time” together without “distractions”. Katy’s hectic schedule has included dropping her album 143, kicking off her tour in April, and participating in the Blue Origin spaceflight in the same month.
It’s suggested that the pair “thrived” when living a more “settled” life, which meant being in the same place for an extended period – something that hasn’t occurred recently.
However, the source stressed to the publication that Katy and Orlando haven’t called it quits on their relationship, explaining that the situation is “quite a lot more complicated” than that. They noted that this has been the longest stretch the couple have spent apart since becoming an item.
“There is still a huge amount of love between them, and there is still hope that they can ride out this rough patch,” the source spilled. They hinted that even the most solid couples face trials but insisted that it’s possible for lovebirds to find their way back to each other.
