Robbie Williams’ touching letter to music star after Ozzy Osbourne’s death

Punk star Yungblud has revealed how Robbie Williams sent him a letter after his profile rapidly grew following the death of his idol Ozzy Osbourne, who he honoured alongside Aerosmith

Yungblud has revealed that Robbie Williams reached out and sent him a profound letter after an intense year in the spotlight.

The kind-hearted Take That man got in touch as the punk star’s profile rapidly grew following his performance at Ozzy Osbourne’s farewell gig, performing a tribute alongside Aerosmith at the VMAs, and then finally cancelling all remaining gigs of the year under doctor’s orders.

Yungblud, real name Dominic Harrison, shared: “He wrote me this letter when it really needed to come.

“He related himself to me, saying that he knew what it was like to be a 28-year-old who was trying to figure out who they were, while also dealing with a million opinions about what he could be or never be.”

He added that Rob isn’t shown enough respect: “People don’t give Robbie the credit for his mind and the way he sees things.”

In the midst of all the chaos, Yungblud released his Grammy-nominated album Idols – The LP, which he wished he had made years ago.

“I completely lost myself and I was listening to the world and critics of my work too much”, he said of past records.

Idols was different: “I really risked it all. I thought, ‘If people don’t like this one, then maybe it’s the end.

“When you’re a young artist it can be hard to take criticism, but now you’ve got to laugh at it.”

Dom’s heading home to spend Christmas with his family in Doncaster where he’ll take a well-deserved breather..

He told Billboard: “This year I have f***ing lived 10 years in one.

“You can look back on years that don’t show you what life truly is – the highs and the lows – because you’ve been numb to it or you’ve not taken it in.
