Amanda Holden gets dressed in the dark after Green Room power cut

AMANDA Holden and Alesha Dixon were both left in the dark in the midst of the Manchester rounds of the Britain’s Got Talent auditions.

The judges were forced to do their telly make-up by the light of two mobile phone torchlights after a power cut left the entire team in darkness in the Lowry Theatre’s Green Room.

Filming Amanda’s glam squad working their magic by torchlight, an assistant joked off-camera: “Anyone would think you have the most amazing lighting right now.”

As a make-up artist delicately added the finishing touches to Amanda’s flawless look, her helpful assistant added: “Little do they know there’s been a power cut.

“I’m standing here holding two torches – everyone else is in darkness.”

And Amanda quipped back: “I actually prefer this lighting It’s much more flattering.”

Wrapped up in a white dressing gown Amanda joked around with her pals in the dark.

Making light of the eerie atmosphere the 48-year-old put on on a cut-glass accent she pretended she was in an Agatha Christie thriller.
