Archie Lyndhurst's mum says she 'still has no answers' in emotional goodbye post

Archie Lyndhurst’s heartbroken mum Lucy Smith shared a tearful post devoted to her late son, explaining that she and husband Nicholas Lyndhurst “had never experienced pain like it”.

In September, it was confirmed that the 19-year-old son of Only Fools and Horses star Nicholas, had passed away after suffering from a “short illness”.

Providing an update today, Lucy explained “we still have no answer as to what happened” as they continue to “patiently” await a coroner’s report.

The CBBC So Awkward star was found at his family home in Fulham, London under “non-suspicious circumstances”.

On September 22, police and an ambulance were called to a “report of a concern for welfare” and Archie was later declared dead at the scene.

The tragic death of the teen was treated as “unexplained but not suspicious”, with the police passing the file to a West London coroner to open up an inquest.

According to Lucy’s emotional post, Archie’s “short illness” still remains unknown.

Sharing a number of heartwarming family pictures from across the years, Lucy penned: “It is with the heaviest heart that I write this post.

“Nine weeks ago our dearest boy Archie was taken from us way too early.

“We still have no answer as to what happened but wait patiently for the report to be written up in the next 10 weeks.

“The pain of our loss is beyond anything we have ever felt before, and wouldn’t wish upon anyone.”

She went on: “Archie was, and remains our absolute world. He was the most beautiful extraordinary human being we have ever known.

“To have him as our son has been nothing but an utter joy and honour. Tonight at 6pm Nick and I shall be with him in a tiny chapel to send him on the first part of his next journey.”

Lucy’s pain and utter devastation could be felt in every single word that was written but she also wanted to ensure that her beloved son was remembered by friends, followers and loved ones.

Given the current coronavirus pandemic and the UK currently on lockdown at the moment, loved one’s are prevented from holding services with more than 30 people in attendance.

She continued: “If you get a moment maybe you’d like to light a candle or take a minute just to remember him. We’ve never known anyone live like Archie.

“He cherished and absorbed every moment he had. Until we meet again our darling magical boy.

“We will love you forever and ever and will be forever grateful for choosing us to be your parents.

“We were beyond lucky. Thank you for every smile, hug, laugh, conversation we loved them all. Your kindness and generosity knew no bounds.

“You were the best teacher we ever had. We miss you every minute of every day. As you would say my darling. “In a bizzle”. “Love You”
