BREAKING Robert Conrad star of The Wild Wild West and Jingle All the Way dies

TV star Robert Conrad, famous for his roles in The Wild Wild West and Jingle All the Way, has died aged 84.

Jeff Ballard released a statement on behalf of Conrad’s family, which said: “He lived a wonderfully long life and while the family is saddened by his passing, he will live forever in their hearts.

Conrad’s long TV career started with series Bat Masterson, Maverick and Lawman before he landed a role in the popular US detective series, Hawaiian Eye.

Some years later, Conrad starred in the hit CBS show The Wild Wild West.

The show would later be turned into a big-budget flop with the same name that starred Will Smith.

But, the veteran actor was not just known for his time on TV – having also recorded several albums under the name Bob Conrad.

He also earned a reputation as a tough-guy following his stint advertising Everyday batteries.

In the ads, Conrad would put a battery on his shoulder and egged on viewers to knock it off.
