Camilla Parker-Bowles is slated to appear on the Strictly Come Dancing final this weekend as the race is on for one of the remaining celebrity couples to take home the prestigious Glitterball Trophy.
Camilla, who is reportedly a fan of the show, will appear in two pre-recorded clips, which will air on the final and will reveal that she has been voting from week to week.
A Clarence House spokesman confirmed the news of Camilla’s appearance to the Mirror.
Prince Charles’ wife, 73, will also reportedly lavish praise on Strictly for cheering up the nation amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The Duchess’ appearance is reported to have been orchestrated long before filming for the 2020 series began.
A source previously told The Sun: “Camilla’s team rang long before filming began and said she was a massive fan — and wanted to be on the show.”
Camilla reportedly jumped at the opportunity to appear in some way on the final of the BBC dancing competition.
The insider continued: “Camilla said her dream was always to appear on the series but royal protocol probably wouldn’t allow it.”
Camilla is reported to have “nailed” her short film for the programme in one take, as she gushed about her enjoyment of the programme.
The source added: “She thanked Strictly for helping her get through the hell of 2020 and adding a bit of much-needed cheer.”
Camilla won’t be revealing in the short clip who her favourite is on the programme as she is “far too polite”.
The celebrities vying for the top sport this evening are comedian Bill Bailey, pop star HRVY, Made in Chelsea star Jamie Laing and EastEnders actress Maisie Smith.
