Carol Vorderman – two-time winner of the “Rear of the Year” award – has previously confessed to doing 20,000 squats a year to stay in shape.
The former Countdown presenter, 59, often has fans begging for her fitness tips, and regularly shares selfies from the gym to document her workout journey.
However, her personal trainer has revealed the key to her sensational curves is Carol’s “motivation” in maintaining a consistent exercise plan.
Turning 60 on Christmas Eve of this year, Carol likes to head out on seven-mile walks each day, enjoying the scenic views in her native Wales and near her home in Bristol.
On top of that, the maths whizz makes time to hike in the mountains nearby, working on her glutes as she ascends each peak.
When it comes to her diet, Carol is an expert in moderation, and ensures her plate is piled high with veggies for a healthy dose of nutrients.

Bread is banned in her household, though Carol isn’t averse to a drink or two – even though she vows to walk anything high-calorie off with a lengthy stroll.
Aside from time spent outdoors and a health-conscious diet, the radio star also signs up for regular sessions with her personal trainer each week.
Ex-Navy instructor Dave Concannon, who has worked with Carol for five years, recently opened up about her intensive workout regime in an interview with The Sun.
The Bristol-based PT revealed the secret to Carol’s gym-honed physique is her steely determination, as she spends hours each week squatting and doing core-strengthening exercises.

He told the publication: “She’s got a great attitude to fitness. She’s been exercising all her life and had a really good base fitness before we worked together.”
When it comes to the specifics of Carol’s regime, Dave suggested it was a combination of circuit training, TRX, forward lunges and glute raises.
“We do circuit training with compound exercises that use lots of muscle groups — squats, deadlifts, planks, lunges and bridges,” he said.

“We do them in high-intensity bursts, so a typical session could be 40 seconds’ work and rest for 20, but we vary it.
“Typically she comes to my circuit class, or has a PT session, three times a week.”
The secret to Carol’s award-winning rear, Dave revealed, is her proficiency in squatting, branding the technique as one of her favourite workout moves.
He said: “Squats are one of the big exercises that give big results and she works out a lot.”
