Caroline Flack mum says her fortune will go to charity as she didn't have a will

Caroline Flack’ s mother has revealed that her fortune will go to charitable causes close to the the television presenter’s heart.

The Love Island host tragically took her own life in February aged 40, and her family are hoping that the donations will ensure her legacy lives on.

Relatives of the much-loved TV personality will give part of her £827,000 to charity after the star did not leave a will.

Official probate figures on Wednesday revealed the value of Caroline’s estate.

Caroline’s mum Christine pledged: “We will use the money wisely to help good causes that Caroline was passionate about.”

Friends confirmed the cash will be distributed to charities the TV star was passionate about.

By law, anyone who dies without making a will in England and Wales is declared intestate.

As Caroline is survived by her parents, her estate is shared equally between them.

The total value of Caroline’s estate was put at just over £2 million but the sum drops to £827,691 after debts and death duties are taken into account.

Caroline was found dead at her home in North London on February 15.

Over 200 people attended a private funeral near her family home in Norfolk in March.

At the time, Christine said: “There were lots of memories, smiles but mostly tears as we all remembered Carrie and the joy she had brought to all of our lives.”

She also thanked Caroline’s “old pals” from her impressive list of famous shows — I’m A Celeb, Xtra Factor, Strictly, Bake Off and Love Island, which she hosted for five years.

Caroline’s famous friends and family are planning a two-day Climb for Caroline hike in the Lake District in February to raise funds for the Samaritans.
