Caroline Flack’s ex-boyfriend Danny Cipriani has spoken out following the Love Island star’s death – saying that he ‘missed her call’.
The 40-year-old’s family lawyer confirmed yesterday that she was found dead in her London home after taking her own life.
A family statement read: “We can confirm that our Caroline passed away today on the 15th February.
“We would ask that the press both respect the privacy of the family at this difficult time.”
Danny, who she dated last year, became the target of cruel trolls who accused him of trying to use Caroline’s death to get attention.
But the 32-year-old England Six Nations star hit back.

Taking to his Instagram, he wrote: “You couldn’t be more misguided. I don’t know who you are. I sincerely hope you get the love you never received.
“This has nothing to do with a game. I missed her call because of a f*****g game.
“I’ve been up all night. Never cried this much. But I’m showing you it’s ok to be vulnerable.”
Danny didn’t clarify when exactly he received the call from Caroline’s phone, but on Friday he played for Gloucester in a game against Exeter.
It comes after reports emerged that the Strictly Come Dancing winner was seen by paramedics at her home, just short of 24 hours before she was found dead.

It’s claimed paramedics gave Caroline a clinical assessment when they were called to her flat on Valentines Day, a day before she died on Saturday, February 15.
It’s believed she was not taken to hospital following the alleged assessment.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called shortly after 22:30 on 14 February to a residential property on Northwold Road, N16.
“Crews attended and, following a clinical assessment, the person was not taken to hospital. Due to patient confidentiality we cannot comment further.”

Following her death, ITV bosses have said they sat down with Caroline’s representatives to make a decision on the future of Love Island.
An ITV spokesperson said: “Many people at ITV knew Caroline well and held her in great affection. All of us are absolutely devastated at this tragic news.
“After careful consultation between Caroline’s representatives and the Love Island production team and given how close we still are to the news of Caroline’s tragic death we have decided not to broadcast tonight’s Love Island out of respect for Caroline’s family.
“Love Island will return tomorrow night which will include a tribute to Caroline who will be forever in our hearts.”
