Corrie viewers left baffled over Adam Barlow's 'speedy' recovery after attack

Coronation Street fans were left scratching their heads when Adam Barlow left the hospital during Monday’s instalment.

Viewers saw Adam get brutally attacked in the Bistro several weeks ago, eventually ending up in a coma in hospital.

His attacker’s identity remains a mystery as viewers are yet to see who did it.

At the start of tonight’s episode, Daniel visited Adam and told him he would be sent home soon.

The character said he could stay with him as he needed help looking after himself, but Adam refused and said he’d be fine.

He was then seen on his feet at Sarah’s house, leaving viewers confused over his fast recovery.

They thought Adam recovered too quickly after the ordeal, as one tweeted: “Crikey, Adam’s out of hospital already, speedy recovery…”

While another wrote: “Adam was looking like he was on death’s door, now he’s walking around like nothing happened. It’s magic in soap land”.

“One heck of a recovery there Adam”, penned a third.

Another typed: “Corrie you really need to do more research when it comes to hospital storylines. Adam is able to leave hospital within days of a coma?”

Adam and Sarah were close once more tonight after falling out recently.

She told him that she had decided to show “where her true loyalties lie” by telling the police what she knew about Rick’s body.

Sarah then told Adam she thought Gary had attacked him, saying: “I am convinced he is the one who hit you, it’s time Gary paid for all the terrible things he’s done.”

Is this curtains for Gary?

Coronation Street continues on Wednesday at 7.30pm on ITV.
