Dancing On Ice pro Vanessa Bauer took to Instagram with a number of cosy snaps with Joe-Warren Plant taken on the ice.
The pictures seemed to highlight the figure-skater’s tight bond with the Emmerdale actor as the pair got close for the last time.
Vanessa explained that it was their “very last day together” as she prepared to bubble up with other professional skaters from the show to rehearse their performances for the grand opening of the ITV favourite.
In the images, Joe and the German-born lass seemed to be having a barrel of laughs as they posed together with their arms around each other.

Sharing an array of photos from their final training day together, she captioned them: “@joewarren_plant’s first time on the @dancingonice training rink.
”And started off really well with him stepping onto the ice with guards to end in a lovely classic face plant.
“This is also our very last day together in 2020!
“I couldn’t be happier with how far he has come all thanks to his amazing commitment and hard work for the show!

“We can’t wait for it all to kick off next year.”
She finished: “I’m bubbling up for pro rehearsals now and super excited to spend the next days all day every day doing what I love most. #dancingonice #figureskating #iceskating.”
To which Joe quipped back: “Was a nice way to kick the morning off stepping onto the ice with my guards on… I won’t do that again.
“But thank you very much for being the best teacher and being so dedicated to helping me improve!
“Can’t wait to get back after Christmas and get started again! #DancingOnIce.”

Last week, Joe and Vanessa were spotted leaving the ice rink in Slough together, the pair left in one car, even though it was alleged that two vehicles awaited them.
A source told The Sun: “They had two cars waiting but slipped into one and headed back to the hotel.
“They wore masks but were chatting animatedly and clearly getting on like a house on fire.”
Not long after reports emerged, Vanessa was reported to be furious as she told a pal that she and the soap star were “nothing more than work as far as she’s concerned”.
The figure-skater has come under scrutiny in the past after speculation mounted about her relationships with former celeb partners Wes Nelson and Jake Quickenden.
Her friend told the same publication that she wasn’t best pleased about being at the centre of attention for yet another romance scandal.
