Replying to Chris’ tweet about her mother passing away, one supporter wrote: “Heartbreaking sending hugs.”
Another added: “I remember your pain of not being able to see her, you would have taken her home if they hadn’t let you, I can’t see the problem – you would be putting yourself at risk and that’s your choice. Hope you are OK, good to see you back.”
A third said: “Sending you all my love.”
Danny Dyer is yet to speak out on the news himself.
The Dyers are known for their close family bond and spending a lot of time together.
In a move which shocked everyone, Danny and his wife Joyce appeared on Love Island via video link when their daughter Dani reached the final of the hit ITV series.
In recent weeks Danny and Danny have launched their own podcast.

Danny hit the headlines recently when he shared his thoughts on the government’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic.
The actor blasted the Boris Johnson and his pals and said it was time for other people to take over the running of the country.
Danny said it should be by working the class in Number 10 and not “the people who went to Eton”.
Speaking on BBC News, the 43-year-old said: “My one rant would be that we must learn now that the people who went to Eton can’t run this country.
“They’ve done it, they’ve tried to do it, and this little small group who all went to the same school in the same class, it doesn’t work.”
Daily Star Online has contacted a rep for Danny for comment.
