I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! 2020 winner Giovanna Fletcher has opened up about tragically suffering a miscarriage eight years ago.
The podcast star says that Meghan Markle deserves nothing but respect for detailing her own miscarriage in The New York Times.
Giovanna, 35, said she found Meghan’s article “amazing” and would love to have her on her own podcast to help break the stigma around miscarriages.
Mum-of-three Gi said: “I think it’s so important that people are open about miscarriages, every time someone brings this topic of conversation up it helps so many people, because it’s such a lonely thing to go through and hearing other people express themselves when you can’t find the words to help people understand what you’re going through is so important.

“I think it’s so admirable and amazing for her to share what is a really raw and upsetting thing to go through.”
After a tragic miscarriage at six weeks in 2012, Gi and her partner Tom Fletcher went on to welcome Buzz, six, Buddy, four, and Max, two.
She added to The Sun: “I had a miscarriage before Buzz and it took me years to be able to talk about it, but once you do it’s hugely comforting to know that you’re not alone.

“Miscarriage is still common and it’s amazing that people don’t feel like they can tell people that they are pregnant until 12 weeks because they don’t know what might happen.”
Gi went on to explain that women should know there are people around them who can help and support them if they have a miscarriage, rather than “feeling ashamed” in the aftermath.
Tom and Giovanna tied the knot in a picture-perfect wedding at London’s One Marylebone.
The 19th-century church was transformed for the big day which was packed with famous faces including all of Tom’s McFly bandmates, Radio1 DJ Fearne Cotton, and Busted’s Matt Willis.
Giovanna asked EastEnders actress Kara Tointon to walk her down the aisle as a bridesmaid.
