Laura Tobin and Good Morning Britain have both been slammed by ITV viewers after she travelled between Tier 2 and Tier 4 areas to present the daily weather updates.
Earlier this week, meteorologist Laura hosted the weather forecast from Blenheim Palace, which is in a Tier 2 area.
However she presented Wednesday’s weather from the studio in London, which is in the most serious Tier 4.
An ITV spokesperson has said that everyone is following the guidelines though, saying: “Everyone on the production team is working incredible hard to make sure the show adheres to the guidelines.
“Good Morning Britain is fully Covid compliant and follows the rules regarding broadcast media.”

But that hasn’t stopped viewers from complaining, labelling the show “irresponsible”.
“Why did Laura Tobin break lockdown rules? Going out Tier 4 into Tier 2 and back to Tier 4? B****y irresponsible isn’t it GMB?” said one.
Another tweeted: “Is Laura spreading Covid from her travels yesterday?”
A third wrote: “Laura also has the flu while travelling from a Tier 4 area to a Tier 2. How irresponsible can you get? She’s only a f***ing weather girl.”

And someone else added: “Laura has gone from Tier 4 to Tier 2 for this VT, surely that’s not allowed.”
Under current guidelines Tier 4 residents should not leave the area apart from for work where they cannot do it from home.
This means Laura would have been exempt from that particular guideline, as she was working.
On top of that, as a journalist, Laura is classed as a key worker – someone who provides an essential service.
Despite that, some viewers weren’t convinced that Laura should have been travelling between Tiers either way.
“Is Laura Tobin’s weather report in a Tier 2 area essential reporting? Was it essential for her to travel from a Tier 4 area?” asked one.
Another said: “Don’t think Laura’s job is essential.”
And a third tweeted: “Why has Laura Tobin travelled from a Tier 4 to a Tier 2 to present the weather from Blenheim Palace?”
