Good Morning Britain host Charlotte Hawkins was forced to step in to spread Christmas cheer and deescalate a row over Brexit on today’s edition of the hit ITV show.
Political commentator Andrew Pierce mocked activist Femi Oluwole, whom he brutally went head-to-head with over Boris Johnson’s pending Brexit deal.
According to widespread reports, the British Prime Minister has agreed a deal with the Europe Union – with final sticking points being on fish quotas.
Giving his take on the situation, Remainer Femi said: “We will have to see the detail but this is the problem you get when you sign a four word contract – ‘Leave the European Union’ as in the referendum.”
Claiming that Brexit as a whole isn’t supported by Brits, he continued: “It doesn’t really have public consent.

“In the 2019 election,52.7% of people voted for parties that wanted no Brexit or a soft Brexit.”
Interrupting, Andrew hit out: “You have never accepted it mate – there you go again.
“Get over it love.”
Visibly angry, Femi hit back: “Let me finish,” only for Andrew to continue: “Here we go again, we know why you are going to say.
“People like you have never come not terms with the reality.
“Get over it my dear. Get over it love.
“He will be winging it for another 20 years.”
The camera then cut to show hosts Charlotte Hawkins and Alex Beresford who stepped in to try and keep the peace.
“Oh no, we want some festive cheer and positivity,” Charlotte interrupted.
“Femi you are looking very festive in your Christmas jumper.”
However, while she managed to stop things getting even more heated, viewers seemed to like the Christmas Eve war of words.

Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: “Stupid presenters trying to break up a good-going (heated) discussion.
Hopeless! ‘Let’s all be nicey-nicey!’ #gmb.”
Another added: “‘Get over it luv’ #GMB”
A third mocked: “‘Get over it my dear’ #goodmorningbritain #GMB,” before adding a string of laughing emojis.
Boris Johnson is heavily tipped to confirmed a deal has been reached by lunchtime Christmas Eve.
Rumours are rife that Parliament will be recalled on Wednesday Dec 30 so MPs can vote on the deal before the transition period ends on December 31.
