YouTube star HRVY – real name Harvey Leigh Cantwell – has announced he’s taking a break from social media just weeks after losing out in the Strictly Come Dancing finale.
The 21-year-old shared the news on his Instagram Story, teasing some exciting news upon his return.
The television star wrote: “Thinking of you all. Just taking some time away from my phone.”
Continuing and promising his return, HRVY added: “Be back soon. Can’t wait to be back making music.”
Despite being virtually unknown among the majority of Strictly’s viewership prior to the series starting, he quickly became a favourite.
He and his pro dance partner Janette Manrara stormed to the final alongside Jamie Laing, Maisie Smith and Bill Bailey.

However it was dark horse Bill and his partner Oti Mabuse who took home the glitterball trophy after leaving viewers astounded week after week with his quiet talent.
That meant HRVY, Maisie and Jamie were the runners-up, as this year’s series did not specifically name second, third and fourth place.
And while he might not have won the trophy, it seems HRVY may have won himself the girl.

Throughout the series, HRVY and EastEnders star Maisie have been plagued by romance rumours, with them saying they wanted to focus on the dancing during the competition.
There were reports that they had enjoyed their first kiss backstage after they’d finished filming for the show.
A source told The Sun : “Maisie and Hrvy has been brewing for weeks. The pair are so flirty together, and genuinely have a real laugh whenever they see one another.

“But they were always really disciplined about not crossing any lines whilst the show was filming.”
The source added: “While, technically, they may not have been practising social distancing, they are both young and this was before Tier 4 restrictions came into play.”
And while neither HRVY or Maisie have addressed the rumoured kiss, Maisie, 19, did admit to flirting with her co-star.
She told OK! Magazine : “It’s a weird one. We get along so well – there was an instant connection between us – and I knew straight away that we would be friends.”
Adding: “Yes, there’s been flanter [flirty banter], but I think it’s platonic.”
They weren’t the only pair dodging romance rumours though, as viewers were convinced Ranvir Singh and Giovanni Pernice were more than dance partners due to their electric chemistry.
