Russell Watson was just minutes into his I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! debut on Wednesday evening, when disaster struck.
Joining Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly in the castle, it was revealed the classical singer, 53, was to take part in a challenge known as Laughing Stocks.
Alongside fellow newcomer Ruthie Henshall, the tenor was forced to take part in a trial, dunking his head into a barrel full of fish guts as his initiation to the show.
Unfortunately, the vocalist managed to chip his tooth in the process, looking visibly in pain as he broke the news to hosts Ant and Dec.

Dec tried to see the funny side in the incident, wondering whether he would be able to successfully sing his legendary rendition of Nessun Dorma.
The I’m A Celeb presenter quipped that he might be whistling it through the new gap in his teeth, as Russell tried to laugh it off.
Proving a good sport, Russell then sang a verse of the operatic classic, before dunking his head back in one of the grotty barrels.
Taking to Twitter, viewers were left concerned for Russell’s tooth, hoping it wouldn’t impact his singing ability once the series wrapped.

One said: “Isn’t Russel slightly held back by his chipped tooth.”
“How can you just casually say your tooth is chipped I would cry,” wrote a second.
“RUSSELL CHIPPED HIS TOOTH???!? AJSHSJSJ IS THAT NOT SORE,” added a third.
“I wouldn’t carry on if I chipped my tooth.. Fuming,” a fourth penned.
After the dramatic mishap, Ruthie and Russell carried on with the trial, successfully initiating themselves into the competition as they joined the 10 other campmates.
Walking into their sleeping quarters, Russell gave his new teammates a hug, before confiding he had already suffered a “chipped tooth and a bang on my head” just hours into the series.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV.
