I'm A Celebrity 'signs Giovanna Fletcher' as show announces official start date

Giovanna Fletcher is reportedly the latest celebrity to confirm a spot on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! as the show gears up for its UK debut.

The author is said to be heading into isolation before she relocates to North Wales, just two weeks before the hit show returns to ITV.

Giovanna, 35, is a successful actress, presenter, author as well as podcast host, she is married to McFly singer and guitarist, Tom Fletcher.

The news comes as bosses revealed the show will begin on Sunday November 15.

I’m A Celebrity faced a period of uncertainty following the coronavirus pandemic which resulted in ITV bosses swapping Australia’s Gold Coast for Gwrych Castle in Abergele.

Despite being pals with Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and mixing with the elite – Giovanna is to swap her luxury homelife and camp in the Welsh mountains.

“Giovanna is a brilliant signing.

“She’s incredibly popular on Instagram with mums and has over 1.3million followers,” a source told The Sun.

They went on to say: “She’s moved in famous circles for years.

“Not only is she best pals with Emma Willis but she’s close to royalty, married to a boyband star and her brother is Mario Falcone from Towie.

“She’s decided the time is right to embrace the limelight.”

The tabloid reported that Giovanna is currently isolating at a holiday cottage in Anglesey ahead of her stint in the jungle.

Mum-of-three Giovanna is no stranger to I’m A Celebrity with pals including Matt Willis and Tom’s bandmate Dougie Poynter competing and ultimately becoming Kings of the Jungle in 2006 and 2011.

The show was again thrown into turmoil when the Welsh government decided to close the borders to tourists earlier this month following an increase in the number of positive coronavirus cases.

Newly implemented rules mean that only those working in Wales can enter the country via the borders with Chester and the M4 bridge.

However, as the reality show is classed as a place of work, celebrities and the crew working on the show will be allowed to travel to Gwrych Castle in Abergele.

Daily Star Online has approached Giovanna’s representatives for comment.
