I'm A Celeb's Lady C slams Ruthie Henshall after raunchy Prince Edward admission

Lady Colin Campbell has shown us in the past that she is certainly not one to withhold her views and she’s definitely living up to that expectation once again with a scolding dig aimed at I’m A Celebrity contestant Ruthie Henshall.

West End star Ruthie, 53, delved into the details of her intimate on and off five-year romance with Prince Edward during Friday’s episode of the ITV reality show.

A conversation between the stars of the show was struck up after Buckingham Palace was mentioned around the campfire.

Former Dancing On Ice judge Ruthie sought her moment to catch former Eastenders star Shane Richie on his own to tell him about what she’d been getting up behind closed doors at the Royal venue.

Shutting Shane down for telling the group about his performance for the Queen during lockdown, she quipped: “You performed in Buckingham Palce, you sang in the gardens, I s*****d in the bedrooms.”

Given Friday’s shocking royal revelations, who better to weigh in on the situation than Lady C, a former contestant on the ITV favourite.

Lady C was asked to provide her opinion on the situation on the spin off show The Daily Drop on Saturday morning.

More than happy to provide her two pennies worth, Lady C pointed out that the Les Misérables star had confessed to disobeying a number of royal protocols when meeting senior members of the family.

The Jamaican-born British writer seemed more annoyed with Ruthie for “shaking hands” with the Queen, she scathed: “She should have said your majesty, curtsied then ‘ma’am’ thereafter.”

Melvin Odoom who also appeared on the programme, said: “I went to Buckingham Palace once and was told I couldn’t take pictures.

“To find out that Ruthie was flirting with a Royal in there and got busy in there is a really big deal for me”

To which the outspoken author, chirped back: “That’s because he lived there.

“He had his own suite of rooms there. They live there, they can do pretty much what they want.”

The Saturday morning chat stemmed from Ruthie’s admission and recollection of dating Prince Edward of whom she called “a lovely man”.

Spilling all to Shane, she said: “He invited me to Windsor for the weekend as we’re walking I’m seeing a table outside and there’s people sitting round it and I’m thinking that looks like the Queen and I remembered my dad had said to me that if you ever meet the Queen he said you curtsy and call her ma’am.

“I grab her hand like this [handshake], forget all about the curtsy and I’m like really really pleased to meet you, really pleased to meet you.”

Former campmate Shane was intrigued to understand if she’d met Princess Diana and what she was like.

Ruthie explained: “I met her a couple of times and one of my favourite times was we were at Balmoral, there was Diana, The Queen, Margaret, the Queen Mother, Charles, Edward, myself.

That particular encounter was a tad sketchy though as she’d actually fallen a tad tipsy after Prince Charles had handed her a Martini to try for the first time.

“I’d never tried it before so I was fairly… I had two of them and I was like woah…”

“Let me tell you. Margaret she goes ‘yes, yes, oh sing us a song from that show you’re in’ and I was in Les Mis at the time.

“So I sang I Dreamed A Dream and I must have changed key three times because I was so p****d on martinis.”
