Jessie J has updated fans on her health after she fell ill and was rushed to hospital on Christmas Eve where she was diagnosed with Ménière’s disease.
Ménière’s is an ear condition that can cause vertigo and the sensation that everything around you is spinning, meaning it is difficult to stand or walk straight
The Price Tag singer took to Instagram at the weekend to reveal details of her health scare.
And she returned to social media platform today to clear up confusion after she filmed herself singing on social media days after the ordeal.
Jessie told fans she wanted to set the record straight and had “sang very quietly” and “spoke very little” in the video” filmed after her diagnosis.

She said: “Anyone who watched it knows that’s what happened.”
And she said she was only opening up about her diagnosis because she didn’t want anyone to think she was lying about what happened.
And Channing Tatum’s ex said she was determined to show critics she was not “lying” about the ordeal.
The singer wrote: “This is the speaking edited down. I have often in the past been open and honest about health challenges I have faced. Big or small. This was no different…

“I wasn’t aware of Ménières before now and I hope this raises awareness for all the people who have been suffering way longer or worse than I.
“I have often in the past been open and honest about health challenges I have faced. Big or small. This was no different.”

“I got told I have Ménière’s syndrome. I know that a lot of people suffer with it and I’ve actually had a lot of people reach out to me and give me great advice.
“I’m fine though. I’m good. Everyone is like ‘I’m sorry.’ It’s fine, it could be way worse. It is what it is.
“It just threw me off,” she explained. “Like on Christmas Eve I was literally in the ear hospital like, ‘What is going on?’
“I’m grateful that I went early and you know they worked out what it was real quick. I got put on the right medicine and I feel much better today.
“I’m super grateful for my health.”
The singer also discussed how her singing voice has not been as good as normal since her shocking ordeal.
Jessie: “I just miss singing so much and being around…”
She added she wished her fans a “Merry holiday Christmas season”, and thanked those who had sent her well wishes.
The singer said: “Appreciate EVERYONE who has taken the time out to check on me, those who have offered advice and support. Thank you. You know who you are. I love you all”
