Fans have accused Lauren Goodger of making Caroline Flack’s death “about herself” – as they slammed the Towie star’s “self-centred” tribute post.
Goodger, 33, was bombarded by angry comments after mourning the tragic TV presenter with a racy cleavage picture from a night out and a statement about her own mental health struggle.
She wrote: “I’ve thought before a few times I want to die but then I realise I am stronger than this.
“I am never going to let the stitch ups the bad press the hate the let downs the terrible pap pics and the heartache and the stress that caused ongoing anxiety that I’ve been through in business money family partners break me one minute I am loved the next I’m slated I’ve done this job for 11 years nearly and I’ve accomplished a lot.

“I want to be a mum an amazing mum I want to marry a man who is the going to be a father figure for the kids I want to raise that I’ve never settled for before because I know what I deserve and no one knows the truth behind it all
“There’s so much stuff I’ve been through I hide… but my mind and thoughts are with you @carolineflack and enough now you was amazing and will always be remembered as amazing.”
But fans hit back at the Essex-born model – with one slamming her for “using Caroline Flack’s death to promote” herself.

Another raged: “This just needs to be about Caroline.”
A third added: “Don’t get me wrong, I agree with self love and being proud of how far you’ve come and well done for that however I don’t think you should have combined your accomplishments with post for Caroline Flack… I think it’s very distasteful.”
A fourth Instagram user blasted: “Let’s think of Caroline Flack now, not you. Why don’t you actually post a pic of Caroline and not of yourself posing.”
A fifth added: “Being mentally unwell doesn’t make you weak it’s an illness- if someone dies of cancer you don’t say ‘oh weren’t strong enough to fight it'”

Troubled Caroline was found dead in her East London flat this morning.
Her heartbroken family confirmed her death in a statement today, writing: “We can confirm that our Caroline passed away today on the 15th February.
“We would ask that the press both respect the privacy of the family at this difficult time.”

Caroline’s death comes after she stepped down from presenting Love Island following an assault charge after an incident with her boyfriend, Lewis Burton, 27.
She pleaded not guilty in December and was released on bail awaiting trial next month.
A statement from the Love Island said: “Everybody at Love Island and ITV is shocked and saddened by this desperately sad news.
“Caroline was a much loved member of the Love Island team and our sincere thoughts and condolences are with her family and friends.”
