Jesy Nelson has claimed she was once ‘injected with 50 painkillers’ so that she could go on stage with her fellow three Little Mix bandmates.
The 29-year-old singer, who has won awards for her BBC documentary on her trolling throughout her years in the band, announced earlier this week that she has quit the band.
And now, The Mirror has unearthed allegations Jesy made in two autobiographies of the band many years ago that have sparked interest after she left.
Jesy claimed that in 2015 during a TV gig on music guru Simon Cowell ’s show America’s Got Talent the jabs happened before she went on the stage.

At the time the books were published in 2012 and 2016, she wrote: “On the day, my shoulder went and I couldn’t move.
“In the end I had something like 50 injections and my back was smothered in bruises.
“Before the show, when I was getting my hair and make-up done, people were feeding me coffee to wake me up.
“I was so out of it I can’t remember anything much about the performance, just that on stage I couldn’t get my balance.”

Jesy continued: “It was awful, the worst thing I’ve had to do.
“In a normal job you can take a day off and no one has a go at you, whereas in this job if you miss a performance, everyone’s writing articles, commenting on social media and throwing abuse.”
The star also wrote how a year before that performance she was given antibiotics “so powerful” they made her throw up.
They were given to her while performing because she was suffering with a tooth problem, she claimed.
Jesy opened up about her struggles in Little Mix’s autobiographies – Ready to Fly: Our Official Story and Our World: Our Official Autobiography.
The star revealed she has quit the band on Monday as she finds the pressure of being in a girlband and its expectations “very hard” after nine long years since their X Factor debut.
In her statement, she said: “I find the constant pressure of being in a girl group and living up to expectations very hard.
“I need to spend some time with the people I love, doing things that make me happy.”
