Loose Women viewers left baffled over 'stupid' custard debate during ITV show

Loose Women ‘s fans were left perplexed as the show debated being either “team custard or team gravy”.

Thursday’s episode of the ITV show saw Christine Lampard, Brenda Edwards, Jane Moore and Carol McGiffin reveal which liquid food item was their favourite.

However, some viewers couldn’t understand why they were debating the two things, and shared their thoughts on social media.

One viewer wrote: “How can you be team custard or gravy? They’re completely different things. It’s not either or. Stupid people!”

While another wrote: “They’re both completely different, one is sweet the other savoury, I love both by the way, no debate needed”.

A third said: “Custard/Gravy?”, and added a video which said “why not both?”

Others enjoyed the debate, and joined in on social media.

One added: “Oh love them both”.

While another said: “I hate gravy, love custard though”.

“Team Gravy all day long but not the watery kind. I remember Bisto gravy in the box too!”, penned another Loose Women fan.

Wednesday’s episode of Loose Women saw the ladies discuss marriage, saying that when you’re in love with someone, it doesn’t mean you like them all the time.

Ruth opened up about her “disagreements” with her husband Eamonn Holmes.

She explained: “I don’t always agree with him.”

When asked about their rows, Ruth revealed: “We’re quite good and stomping off…”

“I’m a real door slammer”, she added.

Ruth: “I thought the glass was going to come out of our kitchen door”, when talking about a recent disagreement.

The This Morning star fondly spoke about her parents marriage, and opened up about how her late father told her “marriage isn’t easy, you have to work at it”.

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
