Love Island star Eve Gale has opened about receiving death threats while she featured on the hit ITV2 dating show.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Star Online at BOXPARK Croydon, Jessica Gale’s twin spoke candidly about public perception and internet trolls.
Reassuringly, Eve did confirm that keyboard critics seemed to have channelled their nasty comments elsewhere since she had returned home.
Speaking about the response from the public since leaving the villa, the former VIP hostess said: “I actually haven’t faced that much hate, nobody’s been nasty to my face.
“Since coming out of the villa, I’ve not experienced too many hate messages, it’s all been quite positive.”
Although it would seem that the positivity from spectators didn’t always seem to be the case for the 20-year-old VIP hostess.
She added: “While in the villa I was getting hate mail and death threats which is expected really.”
Eve and her identical twin sister Jess Gale rocketed to fame after they were selected as the first pair of twins to ever enter Love Island.
The twins caused quite a stir initially as viewers questioned how the double act would actually pan out in the villa.
Needless to say, fans of the show didn’t have to worry about a fair process as Eve’s stint on the show came as Eve became the first person to leave South Africa.
Naz Majeed, 23, had the excruciatingly difficult task of selecting one of the identical twin sisters to couple-up with and ending the other sisters time in the villa.
After deliberating for some time, Naz eventually selected Jess, meaning that Eve’s stint on Love Island had sadly come to a close.
Love Island continues tonight on ITV2 at 9pm
