Mel B has allegedly claimed she could go bankrupt if she has to pay $500k (£380,000) to her ex as part of a legal battle.
The Spice Girls star was ordered by a Los Angeles judge to pay the cash to Stephen Belafonte who she divorced three years ago, it is claimed.
But Mel is said to have requested Judge Mark Juhas should slash the legal fees and accounting fees, it is alleged.

It is claimed she thinks she will earn $700,000 next year including $15,000 a-month spousal support she pays monthly to Stephen.
It is also claimed Mel asked her actor ex Eddie Murphy for an increase on the £21,000-per-month support he pays for their daughter Angel, 13.
Mel B accused her former nanny Lorraine Gilles of ruining her marriage to Stephen Belfonte last year.

The Spice Girl is currently living at her mum’s bungalow in Leeds, and had to make a payment of £1.8million to Gilles last year after calling her a “prostitute”.
She agreed to an out of court settlement after making the accusations in her divorce declaration against Belafonte.
Mel also alleged her ex-husband got the nanny pregnant and coerced her into threesomes.
Both Belafonte, 45, and Gilles, 28, denied Mel’s claims.
Mel moved into her mum Andrea’s home as she returned to England following the costly divorce.
It is claimed Mel has abandoned her efforts to move Madison to the UK to live with her because she can’t afford to fund her legal battle with Belafonte, 45.
Daily Star Online has contacted Mel B’s representatives for comment.
