Oasis fans could soon see their dreams of a reunion come true after it was revealed Noel and Liam Gallagher are back on speaking terms.
The brothers have been locked in a bitter war of the words since Noel Gallagher, 52, sensationally quit the Britpop band in 2009 backstage at Rock en Seine in Paris.
And Liam Gallagher, 47, previously admitted he would like to make up with his older brother for the sake of their mum Peggy, who has been devastated by their decade-long rift.
Hoping to put their differences aside, they have been encouraged to extend the olive branch by Noel’s daughter Anais, 19, and Liam’s sons Lennon, 20, and Gene, 18, and his daughter Molly, 21.

A source told The Sun: “Noel and Liam are back on speaking terms and have been communicating recently, mainly by text. All the kids would love nothing more than to see their dad and uncle being friends again.”
The news comes after weeks after the former Oasis frontman took to Twitter and said his brother “begged” him for a reunion.
In January, the musician said he would end his solo career after three albums., having already released two as a solo performer.

He wrote: “I intend to retire as solo artist after album no3 as I have just had a call from my brother begging me to start oasis again in 2022 if you believe in life after love c’mon you know LG x.
However, his remarks didn’t go down well with Noel, who quickly refuted the claims and blamed Liam’s penchant for the left over Christmas booze the reason by his social media outburst.
According to TalkSport, the High Flying Birds frontman reportedly text Sports Breakfast host Ally McCoist to insist a reunion is not on the cards.

The message he sent to Ally, read: “I’ve been listening to the show… and RE: ‘The Reunion’, sadly I think the other fella must have been on the leftover Christmas Babycham.
“For the record, until anyone hears it from me, it’s not happening.”
Let’s hope the brothers have had a change of heart.
