Olly Murs has spoken about the future of his career, which he could be forced to give up if he suffers yet another knee injury.
The cheeky chap is currently waiting to hear whether he needs to undergo a knee transplant – admitting that he treads carefully in order to ensure he can continue performing.
Olly, 36, has already had “serious” surgery on his knee in 2019 which replaced a torn ligament around the joint – he was subsequently rushed to the hospital just three months after the operation, fearing his wound had become infected.
The Essex lad who found fame on The X Factor admitted that while his knee may never be in tip-top condition, he has to be “careful”.

“If I did my knee again it could be curtains, I won’t be able to dance and perform on stage,” he told The Sun.
Olly added that should his condition worsen, it could have severe consequences on his “bread and butter” [performing], as that is what he is “paid to do”.
He went on to say: “I might need a knee replacement so I’m very conscious to make sure my knee is fit and healthy.

“It’s always going to be in the back of my mind that if I end up doing my knee again, I might not be able to come back and do my singing.”
Despite his fears, Olly successfully competed in Soccer Aid 2020, a football competition raising funds for UNICEF.
Earlier this year, the heartthrob took to social media to look back on the “hard year” since he went under the knife, sharing a progress video.

Murs said that it had been difficult “mentally and physically,” before praising his physiotherapist and personal trainer for their support over the previous 12 months.
He shared a video of his X-rays as well as videos showing his intense fitness regime as well as various parts of his physio sessions.
Alongside his upload, he penned: “I can’t tell you how tough it’s been mentally as well as physically but after being told if I didn’t do this I’d need a Knee replacement at 40.
“So I needed to act! Still have a long way to go but wow it feels good! Here is a little short video to show my journey.
“Thanks to my incredible physio @johngreenphysiotherapy & the best PT @rob_solly for pushing me and keeping me focused. I owe you both a lot!”
