Rebekah Vardy’s legal team have detailed how the WAG, 38, was left with “extreme distress, hurt, anxiety and embarrassment” following claims by Coleen Rooney that her Instagram account had leaked false stories to the press.
In legal documents submitted on Thursday November 19 as part of the ongoing libel showdown between the wags, Vardy’s lawyer says she was so unwell she was hospitalised three times during her pregnancy with anxiety attacks.
They state this was brought on by a result of Coleen’s post and the abuse she received in the following weeks.
Going into detail about the abuse Vardy suffered after Coleen’s post was made public, Vardy’s court docs revealed vile messages she received via Instagram Direct Message.
The graphic attacks wished harm on both Vardy and her unborn baby.

A second troll wrote: “You fat ugly f***ing rat I genuinely hope you and your baby rot and die an
extremely painful death for what you have done.
“You were a f***ing horrible c*** in the jungle and I’m not shocked to hear you’ve been exposed properly now.
Do everyone a f****** favour and jump off a cliff (preferably before you give birth). W*****.”
The court documents states: “The Claimant has suffered extreme distress, hurt, anxiety and
embarrassment as a result of the publication of the Post and the events which followed.
“The abuse that followed the Post made the Claimant feel suicidal.
“She suffered from severe panic attacks and anxiety which manifested in being scared to leave her house.”
The document continues to state Vardy was left unable to sleep and “suffered from severe insomnia.”
“She was taken to hospital three times while pregnant as she suffered anxiety attacks as a result of the Post and the repercussions from it,” the legal document continues.”
Vardy’s legal team argues that the situation was so severe that she “had concerns about losing her baby or going into early labour”.
As the London court heard from her legal team, Vardy photographed arriving for Dancing On Ice rehearsals at the National Ice Centre in Nottingham.

Reading out part of Rooney’s Instagram statement, Vardy’s legal team argued that Rooney was referring to an individual rather than simply an account.
Hugh Tomlinson QC, acting for Vardy said: “It is not the language of suspicion, it is the language of finding out the truth.
“The very first line tells us she is looking for someone and not an account.
“As the post goes on she says she tried to figure out, this is the third paragraph, what she begins with is a suspicion.
“She had a suspicion about who it could be – an individual.”

The lawyer added: “We say the ordinary person reading on social media will inevitably come to the conclusion that Rebekah Vardy is responsible… she is the one who did the leaking.”
Referring to the widespread media coverage of the claims, Tomlinson said: “It isn’t entertaining for Mrs Vardy.
“It has and continues to be upsetting. In fact she did nothing wrong.
“Whatever leaks there were did not come from her.”
He added that Vardy had tried to resolve the issue outside court but `this was not possible’.
