Ruth Langsford snaps at Eamonn Holmes for interrupting her in This Morning clash

Ruth Langsford was fed up with her husband’s interruptions on Wednesday’s This Morning, and resorted to “shushing” him into silence.

After an interview with the Yorkshire Shepherdess, Eamonn Holmes was fixated on farming life and started wondering whether he should invest in his own rural property.

However, Ruth was trying her best to move on to the next segment, featuring Christmas makeup with beauty expert Sarah Jossel.

When she tried to welcome Sarah to the studio, Eamonn started harking back to their interview with shepherdess Amanda Owen.

He said: “I think Amanda has the essence of what Christmas was.”

Ruth said “shush,” throwing her head on the table as Eamonn continued talking.

Eventually, she griped: “Shush I’m trying to get to Sarah.”

Looking a little miffed, Eamonn made out he would buy a farm of his own and move there without his beloved wife.

He griped: “I might have a farm without you.”

Unfazed, Ruth snapped back: “Shush.”

Thankfully, the happy couple made it clear there were no hard feelings, ending the segment with smiles on their faces.

Ruth then carried on with the beauty segment by herself, testing out a range of glittery eye shadows and creams with the ITV beauty whizz.

Eamonn appeared to spend the segment backstage as Sarah talked Ruth through the best sparkling products ahead of the festive season.

Meanwhile, over on Twitter, viewers were in stitches over the telling-off, praising Ruth’s no-nonsense attitude to presenting.

One wrote: “That’s him told lol!”

“Eamonn wittering on…hilarious!” added a second, and a third chimed: “Go on Ruth you tell him.”

This Morning airs on weekdays at 10am on ITV.
