Sarah Harding cancer battle has made her 'closer than ever' with Kimberley Walsh

Kimberley Walsh has revealed the Girls Aloud bandmates have been supporting Sarah Harding in her breast cancer battle.

Sarah, 39, has been receiving treatment for advanced-stage cancer, which spread to other parts of her body.

And Kimberley, 39, said the girls are ready to help in any way and it has brought them closer together.

She told OK! magazine: “She knows we’re all there, ready to help in any way we can.

“She’s really appreciated having that. Unfortunately, it’s these things that bring you closer together… but we always were [close] anyway.

“When you share the experiences we have and that time as a group, it’s a sisterhood.

“If somebody needs the rest of us, we’re all going to be there and that’s it.”

Sarah, who was diagnosed with the disease in August, is writing a tell-all autobiography.

Kimberley, who is pregnant with her third child, has been helping her friend with the book.

The singer added: “She’s doing well. It’s such a tough time for her and I’m so proud of her.

“It’s a strange feeling, because you feel proud that someone’s taken it on and is dealing with everything she’s dealing with.

“She’s actually managed to write an autobiography, which we’ve tried to help with and are sending stories and pictures. I’m so impressed she’s managed to focus herself.

“It will be lovely for people to hear her story from her side, as that’s the only truth.”

Crooner Kim has two sons Bobby, six, and Cole, four, with husband Justin Scott, 38.

And she revealed her joy at her baby bump during lockdown.

She said: “I’m really excited and this time I’m seeing it more through the boys’ eyes.

“With the first one it’s all new and just you and your partner. The next one was a bit of a whirlwind because Bobby was still a baby when I got pregnant with Cole.

“So this time, it feels really exciting seeing how excited the boys are about it. It’s so cute.

“Bobby has never really been that bothered and always been like, ‘I love my family as it is and I don’t want anyone else.’

“But as soon as he found out he got so into it, he asks me 100 times a day, “Are you OK? And is the baby OK?”
