Sam Faiers has come under fire after using a quote by Anne Frank while smiling for a bedroom social media snap, before later amending the post.
The reality-television star took to her Instagram Grid to share a picture of herself posing on her bed while staring out of a window, complete with a huge smile across her face.
Samantha, 29, who found fame on The Only Way Is Essex, used a quote by the famous diarist who became a victim of the Holocaust, which resulted in the murder of six million Jewish people across Europe by Adolf Hitler’s Nazi regime.
Captioning her post, Sam penned: “What a wonderful thought it is that some of the best days of our lives haven’t even happened yet.

Tragically, Frank is believed to have died aged 15 in a concentration camp.
And just moments after she published the post, fans rushed to the comment section to slam the television personality.
One angry follower commented: “Poor Anne died at just 15 in a concentration camp.”
While a second added: “Why are you hashtagging Anne Frank? I see no similarity at all in your situations. Totally distasteful and disrespectful.”

“I see no reason at all why you would compare a lockdown to protect and save lives to Anne Frank whose entire life and dignity was stripped from her, her family and over 6 million Jewish. Please take the time to educate yourself and remove this reference immediately,” typed another.
A fourth penned: “Anne Frank?! Hoping this is just ignorance/a lack of research rather than being overtly disrespectful… Whilse posing on a bed.”
Sam has now amended the caption of her post.

Anne became known across the world following the discovery of her diary which she kept during her family’s two-year hiding in Amsterdam, when the Nazis occupied the Netherlands.
The youngster and her family hid in a secret annex behind a bookcase of an Amsterdam home between 1942 and 1944.
Sadly, the Frank family were captured by the Nazis following a tip-off from an unknown individual.
Anne and her sister died at the hands of the Nazis at the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in 1945, after battling typhus, it is believed.
Her dad, Otto, was the only member of her family to survive the war and eventually had Anne’s diary published in 1947, two years after finding freedom from the concentration camp.
