Strictly Come Dancing star Maisie Smith swapped her flame-red locks for a blonde wig on Saturday’s show, in honour of the long-awaited Musical Week on the show.
The EastEnders actress, who is partnered up with pro dancer Gorka Marquez, is best known for her ginger hair, but the beauty department decided on a surprise transformation.
Performing a jive to the song Somewhere That’s Green from the hit musical Little Shop of Horrors, Maisie dressed up as the play’s lead character Audrey.
The lovestruck lead character always appears with a signature blonde hairdo – meaning Maisie was required to follow suit.
Appearing before viewers with a cropped platinum blonde bob, certain Strictly fans compared Maisie to screen star Marilyn Monroe, whose hair was styled in an icy perm.
One Twitter user said: “Maisie doesn’t half look like Marilyn Monroe in that outfit.”
“Maisie should totally go blonde!” wrote a second.
And a third chimed: “Gorka in those glasses though. Also Maisie looks lush as a blonde!”
While a fourth penned: “That wig really suited Maisie.”
After their performance, having lit up the stage with fast footwork and beaming smiles, Maisie turned to the judges for feedback – only to receive a rave review.
A gushing Shirley Ballas swooned: “I think that you did exactly what you wanted to do, and that was smashed it for sure.”

Meanwhile, Motsi Mabuse added: “You’re living, the life of the music is in your body! Keep working on the feet, keep working on those arms but girl, I tell you, you are music.”
And Craig Revel Horwood – who is famed for his tough verdicts – said: “Your energy is insane my darling.
“Fantastic musicality, really, really complex changes of rhythm that you’ve absolutely nailed.”
The pair were awarded an impressive 28 points, with judge Shirley opting to give the duo a perfect 10.
With another elimination on the cards for tomorrow night, have Maisie and Gorka done enough to save their place in the competition?
Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday at 7.15pm on BBC One.
