Susanna Reid was quick to give her co-star Andi Peters a telling off on Thursday’s Good Morning Britain, as he used his mobile during the show.
Joined by Ben Shephard in the studio, Susanna was welcoming viewers back from a commercial break when she realised Andi was still on his phone.
Ben pointed out: “We’ve got 17 cameras in the studio and Andi’s got his own phone out.”
Suddenly, the camera panned to show Andi with his mobile phone, jabbing at keys on the device just as he was meant to present the competition segment.
Scoffing, Susanna said the team was “live on air” and Andi was still using his phone.
Making it clear he didn’t realise the cameras had started rolling, Andi asked: “Does that mean I’m meant to do the competition?”
Ever the professional, he then launched straight into the dazzling prize giving, offering one lucky viewer the chance to win tens of thousands of pounds.
Andi is offering one ITV fan the chance to win £100,000 in time for Christmas, so long as they enter the glittering prize draw.
Andi later appeared on Lorraine to host yet another competition segment, filming outside the ITV studios, next to an enormous Christmas tree.
Lorraine Kelly exclaimed: “Look at that, look at your bauble!”
Gesturing to the decadent Christmas tree behind him, Andi replied: “Wow, what an absolute whopper! it’s a whopper of a tree because I have a whopper of a prize.”
Urging viewers to text into the competition to win the tax-free cash prize, Andi suggested viewers could spend their winnings on Christmas presents and summer holidays.
He added: “Remember it’s a life-changing amount of money, and someone’s got to win it!”
Good Morning Britain airs on weekdays at 6am on ITV.
