This Morning viewers were not happy as they tuned into the latest edition of the ITV show on Wednesday as England came out of lockdown.
Hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby presented a segment on shopping as stores across the country were allowed to reopen in the build up to Christmas.
The presenting dup spoke to Tiffany Stanford, who was live in Birmingham’s Bullring shopping centre, but viewers at home were not impressed with her comments.
Asked what time she had woken up to go shopping, Tiffany replied: “Probably about 5 o’clock this morning and I had sprung out of bed at 6 o’clock. I’m excited to be here, it’s amazing.
“I feel like I was a caged animal and I’ve unleashed the inner shopping beast, it feels amazing to be here. I’m at Selfridges, as you can see, and I’ve got a real Christmas spirit going on.”
Taking to Twitter to vent, one person posted: “ThisMorning Woman saying she’s gutted the Bullring is quiet…ffs good! The more people stay at home the quicker this will be over and we can ALL get back out!”

A second person tweeted: “Some shops have only been closed a month shes acting like she hasn’t been able to buy anything for ages. Sounds like she needs her cards cut up if shes shopping just for the sake of it #ThisMorning (sic).”
A particularly angry person added: “#ThisMorning This stupid bint in the shopping centre in Birmingham is surprised how quiet it is. Maybe it’s because sensible people are still at home keeping safe.”

Other viewers felt it was a bit insensitive for the ITV show to air such a segment after the difficult year that many people have had.
“As much as I love the enthusiasm of that women going shopping and spending…I cant help but feel for those watching who are struggling financially and lost jobs #ThisMorning,” one person posted.
Non-essential shops have been closed for the past four weeks across England due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

With pubs, restaurants, and the high street opening back up, different parts of the country are forced to adhere to particular rules – depending on which tier their town has been placed in.
Birmingham is currently in Tier 3, which is classed as being on Very High Alert.
Sadly, the hospitality industry has been hit the hardest as in Tier 3, bars, pubs, cafes, restaurants, and social clubs must remain closed except for takeaway, delivery and click and collect services.
Unlike the previous measures, non-essential shops in all tiers – including retail, hairdressers and gyms – can open.
However, in Tier 3, leisure facilities including cinemas, theatres, bowling alleys and casinos will remain closed.
This Morning airs weekdays on ITV at 10am
