This Morning fans gobsmacked as Phillip Schofield loses it with Trump supporter

Phillip Schofield ordered a guest to be silent on Wednesday’s This Morning, as a conversation about US politics took a fiery turn.

Toni Holt Kramer, who is the leader of a group known as The Trumpettes, appeared on the show to show her support for President Donald Trump as the election results continue to roll in.

Phil was keen to find out Toni’s take on a statement shared by Trump earlier this morning, in which he suggested the US election votes should not be counted.

Trump said: “We want all voting to stop. We don’t want them to find any ballots at four o’clock in the morning and add them to the list. It’s a very sad moment.”

However, when Toni refused to answer Phil’s question about comments made by Trump, and continued to speak over him, tensions grew.

Phil snapped: “You have to stop. Do you not listen to anything? You have to stop.”

When Toni skirted around the issue in her answer, Phil hit back again, saying: “With the greatest respect you haven’t answered the question.”

Toni then accused Phil of not asking a “proper question” only for the This Morning star to make a face at the camera.

Toni then jibed: “Don’t look at me like that, cause ill look at you like that.”

Eventually, after letting Toni speak for a few minutes, Phil clearly had enough and drew the interview to a close, bidding her farewell.

He said: “We’ll call a halt there, Toni.”

Meanwhile, over on Twitter, viewers were floored by Phil’s defiant shut-down of the Trumpette, as they witnessed the clash unfold on their screens.

One said: “Phillip Schofield is actually going OFF on #ThisMorning omg.”

“Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight!” wrote a second.

And a third wrote: “Phillip is in disbelief, he’d definitely put the phone down if this wasn’t live ahahahah #ThisMorning”

A fourth exclaimed that “Phil isn’t having it no way,” and a fifth wrote: “Phil is turning into @piersmorgan!”

This Morning airs on weekdays at 10am on ITV.
