Eamonn Holmes looked very different on Wednesday’s This Morning, working a pair of trendy framed specs in the studio.
The 61-year-old revealed he woke up with a stye in his eye, the skin around his eyelid painfully swelling up overnight.
In order to overcome the ailment, Dr Hilary Jones paid him a visit in the studio, and Eamonn donned some specs to mask the swelling.
However, his wife Ruth Langsford – and viewers – couldn’t get enough of the stylish accessory, letting the Northern Irish TV star know he looked “handsome”.
Ruth exclaimed: “I love you in your glasses, you look very handsome.”

She later added: “I think you look very good and Dr Hilary will sort you out with your stye.”

And a third chimed: “@EamonnHolmes looking very handsome in your glasses this morning . Hope your eye gets better soon, bless your heart x.”
Ruth admitted she’d been a little concerned when she first woke up, clocking her husband’s eye had reddened overnight.
She said: “You frightened me – it was all swollen up.”
A stye is a red, sore lump near the edge of the eyelid, which is a form of bacterial infection.
Eamonn confirmed he was in pain, hoping the infection would quickly heal, as he told ITV’s Dr Chris: “I’ve a stye in my eye today doctor, so I’m quite sensitive to it.”
Styes usually take seven to 10 days to heal, with the swelling reducing after three days.
This Morning airs on weekdays at 10am on ITV.
