Ruth Langsford has said she is not afraid to lose her job at This Morning amid reports that talks are going on at ITV to shake-up it’s diversity.
The 60-year-old has presented on the show since 2006 alongside her husband Eamonn Holmes as the pair appear on the nation’s screens every Friday for the daytime show.
In September it was rumoured that ITV were looking to make their line-up more diverse.
Back in July Dame Carolyn McCall, ITV’s chief executive, was quoted at a press conference that they were working to “change in diversity and inclusion on screen and across ITV by creating more opportunities for those from Black, Asian, minority ethnic and other underrepresented groups”.

Speaking with The Sun, Ruth opened up on if she is worried about her future on the show which she has hosted on for 14 years.
Asked if she’s worried, she replied: “Not really. I don’t think about it. I just get on with it and do my job.
“I’m not in control of those things and I am a firm believer in not worrying about things you can’t control.
“If there are discussions happening in management, I’m not part of those. So until somebody says otherwise, I will do my job and love it, like I have done for 17 years.”

In September rumours circulated that Ruth and Eamonn could be replaced by Ore Oduba and Rochelle Humes.
A source told The Sun Online at the time: “Eamonn and Ruth are incredibly popular with viewers and loved across the board.
“No one wants to see them go. The shows execs have some very tricky decisions. Eamonn fears he is basically too ‘pale, stale and male’, and, at 60, perhaps not in line with the youth drive broadcasters are after.
“One possibility is to keep the couple on as regular holiday cover but lose their regular Friday slot.”
The source continued: “Nothing’s been decided yet, and much rests on this internal poll.”
It comes after Eamonn and Ruth got caught up in a brief argument on This Morning last week, as he recalled the moment she bought their son Jack a drum kit several years ago.
Ahead of an interview with child drumming sensation Nandi Bushell, Eamonn insisted he wasn’t a fan of drumming, having spent years listening to their son practice with his own kit.
Things turned tense when Eamonn scolded Ruth on the show, complaining about her decision to buy Jack a drum kit behind his back.
Holding a grudge, Eamonn griped: “What sort of message does that send out to children? That the father has no authority?”
Ruth replied: “You do. You just happened to be missing that weekend.”
Later, Eamonn fumed: “My life has been ruined because my own son is a drummer.”
