Vinnie Jones has given advice to fans who are are struggling with grief over dead loved ones during the festive season.
The ex-footballer, whose wife Tanya died of cancer in July 2019, discussed grief and loneliness in an Instagram clip aimed at “struggling” fans.
Vinnie, 55, said: “Although it is great times for some people it’s not so good for others. Just stay strong. Speak to people, if you’ve got some health issues, mental health issues.
“If you’re feeling down, if you’ve got grief, Strong Men is a great charity and there are other charities out there.”
Vinnie, who is also an actor, also shared his own ways in which he deals with his grief.

He explained: “I’m just keeping busy, doing as much as I can for as long as I can. Obviously lockdown.
“But err, just keep busy. Do things around the house, do some painting. Get out in the countryside, walk round the park. Take the dog for a walk.
“Keep yourself busy everybody and just reach out to some charities even if it’s on the phone. God bless.”

Tanya was diagnosed with melanoma in 2013 and died after a brave six-year battle with three types of cancer.
The pair both had treatment for melanoma, but while he got the all-clear, the disease spread through Tanya’s body.
Earlier this month Vinnie revealed to the Daily Star he had moved out of the home he shared with his late wife.
He told how he made the decision because he’s haunted by the memories of the time they spent there together.
Vinnie now lives near his pals in LA in a home near a golf course as both distract him from his ongoing grief.

Speaking about his grief Vinnie said: “There’s no point in fighting it. Tan was an incredible, remarkable woman and I will never get over losing her.
“But I have lots of happy memories – she left me with a lifetime’s worth.
“I don’t need to carry a memento because she is always here, in my heart.”
Vinnie said he also finds comfort in talking to Tanya every day about what he is doing.
He explained: “Every morning, I get up, make my bed and have a little chat with Tan about what I’m doing and how much I miss her.
“Even now it’s one day at a time.”
