AceShowbiz – Kiss, Iron Maiden, and System of a Down will headline the first virtual Download Festival.
Promoters opted to stage an online version of the annual rock show when the physical event was cancelled due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, and now they’ve announced a line-up.
Download TV, which will be aired via the festival’s official social channels between June 12 and 14, 2020, will feature hours of exclusive footage and unseen performances, as well as interactive content.
“The weekend will be split into day and evening, where the day will be everything that celebrates the spirit of Download Festival, and the evening brings 2 to 3 hours of tailor-made programming where Downloaders can tune in and rock out,” a statement reads.
The highlights will include KISS and Iron Maiden’s best moments at the festival while the final night will close out with footage from System of a Down’s performances in 2005, 2011, and 2017.
Sets from Korn, the Deftones, The Offspring, and The Darkness will also be streamed over the weekend.
