Amber Heard was giving evidence for the third day in a row at the High Court on Wednesday.
The Magic Mike actress, 34, has been speaking in former spouse Johnny Depp ‘s libel case against News Group Newspapers.
Depp, 57, is suing publishers News Group Newspapers over an April 2018 article in The Sun, written by executive editor Dan Wootton, which branded him a “wife beater”.
Eleanor Laws QC, for Depp, suggested Heard attacked Depp in a “three-day hostage rage” in Australia.
Laws suggested an argument between the pair went “round and round,” and Heard was screaming at him in a “rage”.
She alleged Heard hurled one bottle at Depp’s head which smashed a mirror behind them, before throwing another which smashed his hand as it rested on a worktop edge.
Addressing the allegations, Heard said: “No. I was angry at times but not to the extent where I would throw something at him.
“I only threw things to escape Johnny when he was beating me up. Sometimes that is all I had.”
Heard admitted she smashed a bottle during the row but she said she dropped it on the floor to stop Depp drinking its contents.
She said the actor then started throwing bottles at her. She said he threw all 30 bottles at her except for a celebratory magnum of red wine, which remained unbroken.
Heard said Depp hurled bottles like “grenades and bombs”.
She continued: “I felt glasses breaking behind me. He did not stop. I just felt glass hitting the back of my arms. He threw all the bottles that were in reach – all except one. 30 or so.”
Laws said Heard severed Depp’s finger and stubbed out a cigarette on his face.

“Absolutely not,” Heard responded.
Heard said Depp cut off his finger himself when he smashed a phone.
She claimed: “I was there. I watched it. I would be shocked if Johnny remembered any of those things.”
Laws then claimed Heard stubbed out a cigarette on Depp’s face, before presenting her with a picture of the wound.
Heard replied: “Johnny did it right in front of me. He often did this.”
Laws said Heard alleged Depp continued to attack her after severing his finger.
Heard responded: “Yes he did. I don’t think he meant to sever the finger but yes he did carry on the attack.”
Depp, who was married to Heard from 2015-2017, has denied all allegations of domestic abuse.
