Fans of ITV’s Saturday Night Takeaway starring Ant and Dec have complained to regulator Ofcom after two audience members engaged in an extended kiss during the recent episode.
The kiss eventually won them a trip to Walt Disney World Florida for the grand finale episode.
Rob and Annette’s children were shocked by their sloppy kiss as they watched on at home but Ant and Dec told their children they’d have to be embarrassed by the PDA in return for a place on the flight to Florida.
Viewers at home were more shocked than embarrassed by the pre-watershed tongue action and complained to Ofcom.
The Sun claims that 36 viewers complained to the watchdog over the kiss which lasted 12 seconds.
Following kiss-gate, fans flocked to Twitter to express their disgust with one saying: “@antanddec @itvtakeaway that kiss was #cringe almost threw my tea back up, TMI!!!”
A second commented: “@antanddec that kiss was disgusting #SaturdayNightTakeaway”.
While a third went on to say: “#SaturdayNightTakeaway Nah. that’s too far! I kiss my husband on the mouth in front of the kids, but not full-on tongues. Inappropriate and unnecessary.”
Introducing the couple, Ant McPartlin said: “Are you ready for Bafta-winning television, guys?”
However, mid-smooch the Geordie presenter stepped in adding: “Are you ready for Bafta-winning television, guys?”

Just last week, Anne-Marie apologised after Ant and Dec wore headbands featuring the controversial Japanese Rising Sun symbol during her musical performance.
The controversial flag was used during World War II and later used by Japan’s self-defence force.
Despite being used on clothing and product packaging to support the Japanese team during sporting events, the flag is offensive to East Asia, in particular, South Korea after it was used by the Imperial Japanese military.
Two weeks ago, the show received 68 Ofcom complaints following a steamy performance byThe Pussycat Dolls during the first End of The Show Show performance.
