Archie Lyndhurst's heartbreaking final Instagram posts before tragic death at 19

Television star Archie Lyndhurst has died at the age of 19.

The teenage son of Only Fools And Horses star Nicholas Lyndhurst was found at his family’s home in west London last week.

The circumstances of his death are said to be “non-suspicious”.

Police and ambulance were called “to a report of a concern for welfare”on September 22 and Archie was declared dead at the scene.

They are said to be no longer actively investigating his death and have passed the file to a coroner in West London.

Archie’s final Instagram post was on June 2, when he took part in the global “blackout” in light of the Black Lives Matter movement.

One of the teen’s Instagram posts last year saw him open up about the “pressure” he’s been feeling, as he was hopeful 2020 will be a good year for him.

He wrote: “Been under pressure recently, but pressure makes diamonds. 2019 has been mad. Ready for 2020 and the things I’m bringing with me into the new year.”

The actor frequently posted snaps with friends and his girlfriend Nethra Tilakumara on Instagram, after first making an account on the social media app in 2015.

Archie’s devastated mum Lucy, who has been married to actor Nicholas for 21 years, confirmed the devastating news in a heartfelt tribute.

Replying to an emotional post about Archie’s death on Instagram by Game of Thrones star Samuel Small, she wrote: “He will love you and watch over you forever.”

Archie made a name for himself following his breakout role in CBBC series So Awkward.

He went onto secure minor parts in Bad Education as a younger version of Jack Whitehall’s character and the guest lead in Casualty.

The young actor had previously revealed that his dad, who played Rodney Trotter in Only Fools and Horses, warned him against going into show business.

He told Tresa Magazine: “He eventually asked me why I wanted to be an actor, and I said it’s because I wanted to make people laugh.

“He then sent me to drama school, I got my first agent, I started getting work, and now I’m here. I’m incredibly grateful for everything I’ve been given.”

Nicholas said he warned his son: “I can’t offer any advice other than please don’t do it.”

He added: “I told Lucy [his wife]: ‘If I ever hear him say the f-word – ‘famous’ – the deal’s off’.

“He never has. He’s filming his second series for CBBC, So Awkward. I wish I’d been as good as him at his age.”
