Ashley Banjo didn’t appear to let his Britain’s Got Talent backlash from last weekend get him down on Saturday’s (September 12) show.
The Diversity star, who’s Black Lives Matter-inspired routine racked up 15,000 complaints, was seen entering the show’s stage to the tune of Sir Elton John’s classic song I’m Still Standing.
Some seem to feel his appearance on stage this weekend is a message of defiance amid Ofcom backlash.
However, it seems to be a coincidence as the semi-final episodes of BGT were filmed in advance before the backlash began.
Diversity’s BLM performance attracted complaints as some viewers claimed it was a politicised dance that was “inappropriate” for a family friendly show.

However, many have defended the powerful performance – with Ashley’s fellow BGT judge Alesha Dixon telling people to kiss her “black a**” in response to the fury.
Meanwhile, Ashley, 31, told of his joy at being able to bother perform as a judge on the show, after Diversity won the ITV show back in 2009.
Ashley was drafted in as a judge on the current series in place of Simon Cowell, who is currently recovering from a broken back after a bike accident.

Talking to BGT hosts Ant and Dec on Saturday night’s episode, Ashley exclaimed: “I loved it, I loved being on this side of the desk but you guys got me up there as well.
“So it’s my first week where I get to sit back and enjoy the show.”

Ofcom hasn’t yet revealed whether it will investigate BGT over the backlash.
A spokesperson told the MailOnline: “We are assessing the complaints against our broadcasting rules, but are yet to decide whether or not to investigate.”
Last weekend’s episode of BGT has now become the second most complained about TV moment following Celebrit yBig Brother’s 2018 “punchgate”.
This saw former Emmerdale star Roxanne Pallett falsely accusing Ryan Thomas of punching her – garnering 25,327 complaints.
Last night’s BGT saw dancers Aaron an Jasmie put through to the final, with Amanda Holden having the final vote.
