The BAFTA TV Awards are usually one of the most glamorous night’s of the year, and 2020 has proven no exception.
The original bash was due to take place on May 17, but the ceremony was postponed due to the Covid pandemic.
While the awards ceremony will be virtual this year, the nominated celebs decided to up the fashion stakes from home, and watch the show in their glad rags.
Some of the UK’s most talented names, from Katie McGlynn to Jodie Comer, dressed for the occasion, raising a glass to their TV screens as they tune in from their sofas.
Below we take a look at some of the most dazzling red carpet looks of the year, without a red carpet in sight.
Katie McGlynn

Former Coronation Street star Katie McGlynn has been nominated for a BAFTA, competing in the running for the Virgin Must-See Moment Award.
In honour of the occasion, she donned a semi-sheer evening gown, designed in a burgundy lace and mesh material, complete with a fishtail hem.
Sharing an outfit shot with her fans, Katie teased: “@bafta ready… Covid isn’t stopping me from getting glam!
“I just want to thank everyone who voted, regardless of the outcome tonight it is an actual honour to even be nominated alongside @rob.mallard and the whole of @coronationstreet pass me the champers.”
Speaking about her nomination in an interview with Daily Star Online, the soap star said: “I think we’ve done that and the nomination is just the icing on top of the cake. But we want the cherry, we want to win!”
Emily Atack

While Emily isn’t up for an award herself, the 30-year-old bombshell is hosting the event alongside comedian Tom Allen, injecting much-needed laughs into the ceremony.
Dressing for the occasion, Emily donned a chic baby blue suit, complete with a cropped blazer and matching shorts.
Lengthening her pins with kitten heels and pulling her blonde locks back in a low ponytail, the former Inbetweeners star looked every inch a movie star as she posed for an outfit pic.
Plugging the gig, she told her followers: “Off we go….. hosting the #VirginMediaBAFTAs social channels today with the brilliant Tom Allen.”
Jodie Comer

Liverpudlian star Jodie Comer has received nomination after nomination in the past year, thanks to her role as the deadly assassin Villanelle on BBC’s Killing Eve.
For this evening’s BAFTA TV awards, Jodie went multicoloured in a patterned sundress, featuring a bow-tie bust and polka dot sleeves.
She topped off the look with some retro shades, pearl earrings, and a glass of bubbly as a boozy accessory.
Celebrating her nomination with fans over Insta, she wrote: “BAFTA is looking a little different this year….
“I’ve swapped the Royal Festival Hall for a BBQ in the back garden!! Shout out to the legend General Manager at Liverpool Parcelforce who hand-delivered this beautiful @duroolowu dress to me this morning.
“After saying I was going to wear my pyjamas to this year’s BAFTAs I nearly got what I wished for! And thanks to @noblepanacea for the glow. Congratulations to all the nominees, let’s dance!”
Suranne Jones

Nominated for her role in Gentleman Jack, Suranne Jones looked sensational as she got dolled up at home ahead of the ceremony.
Her dress, featuring a high neckline and a retro 1920s print, fell to her ankles in ruffles, as she tucked her brunette bob behind her ears.
With an added touch of glamour in her accessories, the 41-year-old worked black and gold platform heels and some hoop earrings.
Ahead of the star-studded event, she gushed: “All dressed up for a very different Bafta experience.. thank you @clarabetsyfrancis @o_pioneersuk for making my dress. So special..”
Stacey Dooley

Documentarian Stacey turned to old Hollywood glamour for her look this evening, donning a strapless black velvet evening gown.
Complete with a fishtail hem and a love heart neckline, the Strictly Come Dancing champ looked red carpet ready in the fitted gown.
Her flame-red locks were pulled back in a low bun, with delicate gold earrings looped through her ears.
Nina Toussaint White

Bodyguard star Nina Toussaint White looked breathtaking as she turned up to film the virtual BAFTAs TV ceremony this evening, glowing in a white gown.
Patterned with delicate sunbeam prints, the elegant gown fell to her toes as she struck a pose before the cameras.
Her raven locks were pulled back in a bun, as she added a pair of silver strappy stilettos for an added touch of dazzle.
Ahead of the event, she plugged: “Social distancing @bafta today presenting the Supporting Actor category!”
