Scott Mitchell, husband of Barbara Windsor, has revealed the star’s health is deteriorating and soon she may be moved to a care home.
The beloved EastEnders actress, 82, was diagnosed with dementia in 2014 and appeared in the soap until 2016.
Opening up about his wife’s Alzheimer’s battle, the 52-year-old admitted the Carry On Star may have to leave their marital home as she struggles to battle the brain functioning disease.
Scott is set to discuss Barbara’s devastating Alzheimer’s battle with actor-turned-documentary-maker Ross Kemp, who portrayed her on-screen son Grant Mitchell on EastEnders, in a new television interview on Thursday night.

The Sun said the actor told Ross he was given a “stark warning from her specialist”.
He said: “It’s the thing I’ve always feared. He’s basically telling me I need to prepare myself that at some point it may not be sustainable to give her the kind of care she needs at the house.
“I’ve had some fairly dark moments since he said that because there’s a part of me that knows that most likely is the truth and that’s what needs to happen. There’s another part of me which can’t imagine letting her go.
“I can’t imagine leaving that lady when she talks to me the way she does and putting her somewhere and her thinking, ‘Why has he done this to me?'”
Elsewhere in the one-on-one interview, Scott discussed how Barbara’s speech has worsen, along with fearing he had given his wife coronavirus after displaying virus-like symptoms.
“I didn’t have the cough but I had every other symptom. I was not well.

“My biggest fear at that point was that I was going to give it Barbara,” he said.
Scott and Dame Barbara, who married in 2000, are ambassadors for the Alzheimer’s Society.
Last year, Scott ran the London Marathon and helped to raise a record £4 million for Dementia research.
