Benjamin Keough buried next to grandfather Elvis Presley in Graceland cemetery

The official Facebook page for Elvis Presley’ s Graceland has confirmed that the late singer’s only grandson Benjamin Keough has been buried there this week.

Benjamin died on 12 July 2020 at the age of 27 in Calabasas, California, after taking his own life, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The cause of death of Lisa Marie Presley’s only son was listed as suicide.

The statement about his burial, which was shared on October 2, read: “Benjamin Storm Presley Keough was laid to rest in the Meditation Garden at Graceland with his family including his grandfather, Elvis Presley, great-grandmother, Gladys Presley, great-grandfather, Vernon Presley and great-great-grandmother, Minnie Mae Presley.”

The Mediation Garden is right by the main house and is the final stop on the Graceland tour for fans.

Elvis is buried between his grandmother Minnie and father Vernon and, presumably, Benjamin’s body won’t be much further away in the private cemetery.

Benjamin’s father is singer-songwriter Danny Keough, who was Lisa Marie’s first husband from 1988 to 1994.

Lisa Marie has three surviving daughters with the eldest being Benjamin’s older sister Riley Keough.

The 31-year-old is an actress, model and producer who is best known for starring in independent movies.

Most recently she starred in Netflix thriller The Devil All the Time as Sandy Henderson.

Lisa Marie, who was also married to Michael Jackson for a brief period, gave birth to fraternal twin girls Harper Vivienne Ann and Finley Aaron Love in October 2008.

Their father is guitarist Michael Lockwood, Lisa Marie’s fourth husband, whom she married in 2006 and has been separated from since 2016.

When Elvis died at Graceland on August 16, 1977, his daughter was upstairs in the next room.

The Memphis mansion was left to a nine-year-old Lisa Marie in his will and in 1982, her mother Priscilla Presley – Elvis’ ex-wife – had it opened to the public.

A few years ago, Lisa Marie shut down a long-standing Graceland rumour.

“Sometimes there are rumours about [Graceland] being sold. And that is NEVER going to happen,” she told USA Today.

“There’s always a rumour. It is NOT getting sold. Graceland was given to me and will always be mine.

“And then passed to my children. It will never be sold.”
