It was the moment a lot of Big Brother : Best Shows viewers were waiting for on tonight’s E4 instalment of the programme.
George Galloway and Rula Lenska’s cat role-play finally took centre-stage.
The former politician, 65, and the former actress, 72, had to take part in a Celebrity Big Brother-assigned experiment to decipher whether humans can talk to animals, which saw them act out a role-playing scene.
George said to Rula: “Would you like me to be the cat?”
Rula replied: “Yes please.”
And George seemingly took the role of feline in his stride, as he started purring with glee and licking himself.
Rula then tried to feed George some imaginary milk in her hand, and George licked away at the imaginary liquid.
George was then stroked by “mummy” Rula, as she tried to comfort her ‘pet’.
Observing the scenes from afar, fellow housemate Michael Barrymore said: “You know, the thing is, we’ve been in here so long now, that that, doesn’t even seem mad to us now, it actually seems quite normal.”
Sharing her thoughts on the memorable moment, Davina said: “He wasn’t even purring, he was growling in a very sexual way.”
While co-host Rylan Clark-Neal described it as a “seventies porno”.
Viewers took to Twitter in their droves to remark on the now-iconic moment.
One viewer remarked “Rula Lenska and George Galloway pretending to be a cat ..still disturbing to watch.”
While another continued: “I bet Rula still has trouble sleeping at night over this.”
In 2018, Rula said of the cringe-worthy moment to The Sun: “The cat scene will haunt me to the end of my days.”
